The enlarged-carrier scenario adds twelve Swordfish from Eagle to the proposed attacking force. Each of two waves would contain six Fulmars carrying flares, twelve Skuas with 500-pound bombs and twenty-four Swordfish carrying torpedoes. Allowing one Swordfish in each wave to fail to get through still leaves forty-six torpedo deliveries in the calculation. This proposed force composition illustrates the scale of the increase over the historical attack.
