What Zuikaku needed to reach Midway

How possible was it for Zuikaku to participate in the Battle of Midway?

It would require a major doctrinal change that allowed the Japanese Navy to regenerate her depleted air group in time.

Zuikaku was undamaged but had suffered serious losses in her air group. Bringing her to Midway would therefore require the Japanese Navy to regenerate that air group in time. A major change in doctrine would be necessary to make this practical. Physical availability of the carrier did not by itself provide an operational air group.
