British racing green and military display aviation

Has the British military ever painted aircraft in British racing green?

Yes; the recollection describes green display aircraft and compares their team with the Red Arrows and Royal Navy Black Cats.

The recollection describes British military aircraft painted in British racing green for an air-display team and compares the unit with the Red Arrows. It also identifies the Black Cats as the Royal Navy's helicopter display team. A later follow-up emphasizes the unusual attitudes and manoeuvres Black Cats pilots can demonstrate in helicopters. The green-painted unit is not named, so the identification remains deliberately open.
