Dart N9549, coded 1, appeared at the Hendon RAF display on 30 June 1923. On 10 November that year, another Dart carried a dummy torpedo at a Croydon display organized for Dominion premiers. Newly built N9689 was exhibited at Prague's Palace of Industry during the Third International Aero Show from 31 May to 9 June 1924. Five Darts from HMS Furious staged a mock torpedo attack on the dummy enemy ship Slavic at Hendon on 20 June 1924 before thousands of spectators. N9549 led the formation again, this time coded 4 rather than 1. These displays gave the public a rare view of a type that normally served aboard carriers.
