Fast ships protecting the Grand Fleet's battle line

The remaining British fast ships could block a German attempt to use superior speed to cross the Grand Fleet's T.

Notes

German battlecruiser speed would be dangerous if it let them turn across the Grand Fleet's course and cross its T. Britain would still retain enough fast ships to block that manoeuvre if Lion went south. At this stage, the British battlecruisers operated closely with the Grand Fleet. Queen Elizabeth also belongs in the comparison because the relevant issue is the ability to counter a German tactical speed advantage.
