French fast ships tighten the Atlantic net

Dunkerque, Strasbourg, freed British carriers, and more escorts make German Atlantic sorties much harder to survive.

Notes

French fast capital ships enlarge the Allied hunting groups in the Atlantic, while additional British carriers provide more reconnaissance and striking power. Scharnhorst and Gneisenau might be caught during Operation Berlin, which could deter Operation Rheinübung altogether. If Bismarck still sails, it faces more experienced carrier aircraft and surface firepower before it can reach a French repair port. Departing French personnel could also sabotage dock machinery and pumps, making captured infrastructure another constraint on German raiders.
