How might French cooperation change the carrier attack on Taranto?

It could free three British carriers for the operation and make the strike far more destructive.

With French cooperation reducing Force H's burden, Ark Royal might join Illustrious and Eagle in the Mediterranean Fleet. Three available carriers would permit better maintenance discipline because one ship could be serviced without eliminating carrier cover. Their combined Swordfish and Skua air groups could make the Taranto strike much larger than the historical attack. The result might leave only Giulio Cesare available, and even that older battleship could become a target for follow-up air attack.
