A rebuilt Chatham-like cruiser and three destroyers are tested against four German Type 1936A-style destroyers. The cruiser adds gun weight, durability, and command capacity to a fighting escort while the close escort remains with the convoy. The game cannot reproduce the proposed ship exactly and its AI sometimes handles the cruiser poorly. The simulation still makes the intended tactical role visible without serving as proof that the design would win a real engagement.
