Aegis and equipment from several countries give F110 a useful baseline for prospective users. Its central multi-mission space permits additional equipment and mission modules. The space could also support control and management of uncrewed aviation. Replacing it with more VLS cells would sacrifice that flexibility. Its position and the Spanish Navy's apparent interest in the mission bay lead to scepticism that it is the intended location for additional launchers. Future VLS placement remains an interpretation rather than a confirmed arrangement.
