Talisman design practice and the V and W class

Shared design experience explains similarities between the Talisman class and later British destroyers.

Notes

The Talismans were a Hawthorn Leslie design informed by British destroyer practice. Their similarities to earlier ships do not establish direct ancestry from a single Royal Navy class. Shared information and experience allowed builders to arrive at related design features. Their overall form contributed to the later V and W classes through the continuing development of British destroyer practice.
