Wasserfall adapted the V-2 idea for air defence

Wasserfall promised V-2-derived speed, range, and a large warhead against bomber formations but never entered service.

Notes

Wasserfall was an anti-aircraft relative of the V-2 rather than a simple barrage rocket. The 3.7-ton liquid-propelled design was projected to reach about 25 kilometers and roughly 1,700 miles per hour. Its large warhead was meant to destroy a bomber and threaten nearby aircraft in the formation. The project remained an advanced specification without becoming a fieldable wartime defence.
