Warspite as a Dreadnought-class SSBN

The Dreadnought-class ballistic-missile submarines are named Dreadnought, Valiant, Warspite, and King George VI. Warspite will be an SSBN equipped with ballistic missiles and multiple nuclear warheads, giving the familiar Royal Navy name a different strategic meaning from earlier surface ships. The point follows a clarification that Dreadnought is the class name rather than a joke about a new battleship. Historic ship names are being reused within Britain's nuclear submarine programme.
