HMS Victory's career beyond Trafalgar

Should HMS Victory's interpretation give more attention to her career outside Trafalgar?

Yes, although Trafalgar dominates because the preserved ship also functions as a memorial to Nelson.

Victory's service at Cape St Vincent, Gibraltar, and elsewhere deserves attention alongside Trafalgar. Separate audio guides could let visitors choose between Nelson's story and the ship's longer career. The present concentration on Trafalgar reflects Victory's role as a memorial to Nelson. Many tourists and school groups visit for that association, so the guide follows their principal interest.
