The Venetian deployment put Grimani's flagship among the large galleys in the centre. Approximately seventeen lighter vessels formed the left wing, fourteen the right, and eleven more a reserve; these figures remain approximate. Andrea Loredan and other captains arrived with eleven additional grippos and large caravel-built carracks that strengthened the force. Venice had usable tactical assets in position, but subsequent refusals to advance prevented Grimani from exploiting them.
