The Venator is the preferred command in an imagined choice between it and an Imperial Star Destroyer. Its carrier role offers more flexibility, especially with its air group and clone troops aboard. Even an empty Venator is attractive because a replacement air group, such as Rebel X-wings, could be obtained. The Imperial Star Destroyer is treated as a battleship that carries aircraft.
