Vanguard and Warspite used the same gun type

How different were the guns of HMS Vanguard and HMS Warspite?

The guns themselves were the same 15-inch/42 type; Vanguard's turrets and fire control were much newer.

The weapon must be distinguished from the systems around it. HMS Vanguard and HMS Warspite drew on the same 15-inch/42 gun stock. Vanguard nevertheless received substantially improved turrets and fire-control arrangements, so equal barrel lineage did not produce equal gunnery installations. A gun model alone does not describe its mounting, handling machinery, director system, or the ship that employs it.
