Una spent most of her war in the Mediterranean, attacking Italian merchant shipping from early 1942. Her sinking of Luciana became controversial because the tanker had immunity as a replenishment ship supporting the repatriation of civilians from East Africa. The immunity communications had not been read, so the tanker was treated as an ordinary target. Una also landed commandos for an unsuccessful power-station and airfield raid supporting Operation Pedestal in August 1942. A later refit and anti-submarine training work kept her useful beyond combat patrols, and she entered reserve in November 1945 before being sold for scrap in 1949.
