Why the Ultramarines fit Ulysses S. Grant's command style

Which Warhammer 40,000 faction best matches Ulysses S. Grant's command style?

The Ultramarines are the suggested match because of their emphasis on logistics, alongside Grant's concern for keeping his men alive.

Grant is paired with the Ultramarines because of his reliance on a firm logistical base. The comparison concerns which faction he would choose to play in Warhammer 40,000. An alternative suggestion prompts the objection that he wanted his soldiers to live, rather than treating their willingness to die as a virtue. The analogy combines logistical preparation with concern for preserving his men.
