Does UAD provide exact templates for historical warships?
Short answerNo; it is largely build-your-own, but near-equivalent components can still illustrate the important design choices without exact replicas.
NotesAvailable components can produce an approximation close enough to make a ship's broad design decisions visible. Exact templates would require many special features, including ship-specific fittings, and could raise development costs. The component system remains useful for design experiments even when turret or secondary-gun placement cannot match a historical ship exactly. Missing gun options still limit particular British designs, especially the lack of 13.5-inch and 4.5-inch weapons.
