A heavy-cruiser comparison in Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts

A simulated duel compares a fast British all-forward nine-inch cruiser with a German-style ship carrying nine eleven-inch guns.

Notes

The test case is deliberately framed as a comparison rather than a reconstruction of a historical ship. The British design uses an all-forward nine-inch main battery against an opponent carrying nine eleven-inch guns. That is three more guns than a historical Deutschland-class ship carried, because the game hull would not accept the intended arrangement without major changes. The AI also closes the range instead of immediately turning away for the stern chase that the aft-heavy doctrine supposedly favours. The setup tests how firing arcs and tactical behaviour affect a paper gun-calibre advantage, without claiming to reproduce a historical duel.
