Tiger's clearer after firing arcs

Tiger's revised mast and superstructure arrangement gave her after guns clearer arcs than Queen Mary's central Q turret.

Notes

Tiger continued the Lion and Queen Mary design sequence, with changes that gave her after guns clearer firing arcs astern. Queen Mary's central Q turret sat among funnels and masts, so it was principally useful for broadside fire. Tiger's revised arrangement opened the rearward arcs even though she retained a long superstructure with casemates. The quoted top speeds are design figures and do not necessarily describe what the ships actually achieved.
