Should the River-class Batch 2 offshore patrol vessel be in the 3,000-ton range to increase capability?

A larger vessel is favoured, but there is no firm expectation that the shifting proposals will produce it.

The proposal is taken to concern the River-class offshore patrol vessels. A move towards 3,000 tons is welcomed in principle. The options keep changing, however, and it remains uncertain whether a larger vessel will result.
