Sabotage exposes the fragility of a newly liberated world's security forces

Attackers disable transport hubs and strike barracks while Tano's government has limited weapons and distrusts some experienced former slave soldiers.

Notes

Across the fictional world of Tano, bombs close every airport and spaceport while attacks on local barracks tie down the defenders. Mobile units rush to reinforce their own barracks, leaving the government center exposed to the main assault. Its guards number several hundred, but they have fewer than a dozen energy weapons and limited heavy arms. Some of the best local soldiers served the former empire as slave troops and remain distrusted in the capital. Even if called upon, those troops cannot arrive promptly while the transport facilities are disabled. Better-trained and better-equipped infiltrators can therefore threaten the government despite the hundreds of guards in the palace.
