Why superfiring turrets offer no certain escape at Jutland

Turret geometry offers limited help unless tactical employment, subdivision, and protection also suit the battle.

Question

Would superfiring layouts make Invincible, Indefatigable, or Queen Mary more likely to survive Jutland?

Short answer

The layout alone would not decide survival; tactical use, subdivision, armour, and magazine position would matter more.

Notes

A superfiring arrangement would remove wing turrets and could produce a slightly longer, faster hull. It might also place ammunition farther inboard, although Queen Mary's magazines were already centrally arranged. Tactical employment, subdivision, and armoured protection are judged more consequential than turret geometry. Changing the gun layout alone therefore provides no reliable basis for deciding whether Invincible, Indefatigable, or Queen Mary survives.
