When fictional ship labels differ from naval definitions

The Vindicator and Praetor II prompt a distinction between fictional class names and the historical meaning of battlecruiser.

Notes

The 600-metre Vindicator is classed as a heavy cruiser and is intended for sectors where a full Imperial Star Destroyer is unnecessary. Its role and appearance invite comparison with a smaller Star Destroyer. Praetor II is a personal favourite among fictional ships, although its in-universe battlecruiser label is disputed against other definitions. Star Wars nomenclature therefore leaves room for disagreement over what these vessels should be called.
