Variable-depth sonar supplies another part of the ASW fit, with four sonar modules described alongside four torpedo systems. Mine-hunting control equipment can operate drone minehunters and Double Eagle remotely operated vehicles. These options let ships change roles across a fleet. The equipment may be adequate without being the best available for every task. Each ship's permanent fit and number of module positions still determine how much of that flexibility it can use.
