Container dimensions limit StanFlex air-defence upgrades

Six-cell Sea Sparrow modules prompt proposals for further development, but the container's dimensions constrain which missiles could fit.

Notes

The air-defence example uses a six-cell Sea Sparrow module, with twenty modules in the inventory described. A larger customer group could have funded further development, including a possible quad-packed missile arrangement. The standard container measures 3 metres long, 3.5 metres wide, and 2.5 metres high. Those dimensions leave room to reconsider the missile fit, although longer-range weapons such as Standard missiles are more doubtful candidates. Sea Sparrow and CAMM are suggested as plausible systems to develop within the format. These are possible upgrades in the discussion, rather than confirmed new module designs.
