A harder blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis

A Soviet carrier group with a fast, armoured Stalingrad could turn a naval quarantine into a much more dangerous confrontation.

Notes

The video uses the Cuban Missile Crisis to test the class against a concrete Cold War problem. Stopping a heavily armed, protected surface group attempting to run a blockade could require sinking it, which would risk immediate escalation into war. Even a shadowing response could produce a prolonged face-off between heavy surface forces during the quarantine. The example shows why the class matters less as a paper specification than as a source of difficult political and operational choices for an opponent.
