Squadrons and warships at Texel

The fleet lists help orient the named ships and formations in accounts of Texel. The allied fleet was divided into red, white, and blue squadrons, with familiar later Royal Navy names such as Warspite, Dreadnought, and Resolution already present. Dutch ships reflected the Republic's separate admiralty organizations, and de Ruyter's flagship De Zeven Provinciën anchors that side of the comparison. Surviving lists disagree in detail, so the names are an orientation aid rather than a perfectly certain roster.
