Speed, armour, and turret layout in an alternate design

An alternate 15-inch battlecruiser design becomes a way to test how armour and high speed constrain gun and turret choices.

Notes

The proposed layout is a working hypothesis rather than a settled reconstruction. Carrying very large guns in well-protected turrets while retaining battlecruiser speed would impose sharp displacement limits, making a 30-knot design difficult. A possible twin 18-inch concept is contrasted with a conjectural triple 15-inch arrangement for a faster battlecruiser. The idea remains tentative and may change as the historical evidence is examined, but it shows how speed, protection, machinery, and armament constrain one another.
