From Cape Spartivento to the First Battle of Sirte

Giulio Cesare continued through convoy interceptions, Cape Spartivento, the First Battle of Sirte, air attack, training duty, surrender, and internment.

Notes

After Taranto, Giulio Cesare joined Cape Spartivento without getting close enough to fire, then suffered splinter damage from a Wellington near miss at Naples. Following repairs, she sailed to intercept British activity around Genoa but failed to make contact. The ship later participated in the First Battle of Sirte before being reduced to training duty in 1942. At the Italian surrender, she survived an ineffective German air attack, a mutiny was put down aboard, and she sailed to Malta for internment before returning to Taranto in 1944.
