Soviet armour manufacture and production volume

Could the Soviet Union manufacture very thick armour plate?

Probably, but not in large quantities.

Being able to manufacture thick armour did not guarantee the capacity to supply it in quantity. The tentative assessment is that production volume was the limitation.
