A viewer-nominated commander may be difficult to research if regular books, existing profiles, and accessible autobiographical material provide no usable account. Preparing a leadership profile would then require an archive search for sources about the person's career. Such work cannot be promised within the Christmas series' schedule. A nominee needing that research would probably move to a later series, allowing time to look for the material before making the video.

A commander absent from readily available biographical sources may need an archive search, putting a profile beyond the Christmas series' schedule.
