Question

Has anyone examined a whole war through the history of a single ship?

Short answer

HMS Sheffield is a tempting subject for such a book, provided there is time to research and write it properly.

Notes

HMS Sheffield is Clarke's personal choice for a possible history of a whole war through one ship. The idea depends on finding time to research and write it properly.
