HMS Sikh's destroyer attack at the Second Battle of Sirte

Sikh's group used gunfire and smoke to contest Littorio's approach to the convoy, with heavy smoke also obstructing British aim.

Notes

The exact sequence at the Second Battle of Sirte is debated. In the account given here, Littorio appeared after much of the British destroyer force had been drawn away, and Sikh led a small group into the fight. Lively and Havock were among the destroyers supporting her. Havock fell out of the action early, while Sikh's smoke made it difficult for other ships to see what they were firing at as ammunition ran low.
