Britain took decades to acknowledge Bletchley Park, Enigma, and wartime codebreaking publicly. The famous codebreaking story is only part of signals intelligence. Traffic analysis could reveal patterns from who communicated, when, and in what volume even without reading every message. That broader work remains valuable, which also helps explain why the surviving public record may be selective.
