Could Sea Cat launchers replace all five twin Bofors anti-aircraft positions?

They could theoretically replace them one for one, but a practical refit would fit only two or three launchers and retain some Bofors guns.

Sea Cat launchers could theoretically replace the five twin Bofors positions one for one. The preferred practical refit would stop short of that maximum. The answer illustrates how modernization often preserves a mixed weapons battery instead of exchanging every older system for the newest technology.
