Italian aircraft after Sea Lion's postponement

Italian participation after the postponement leaves more than one explanation for Germany's continued air effort against Britain.

Notes

Mussolini offered aircraft and troops to support Germany's operations against Britain. The Italian air contingent arrived in October and November 1940, after Hitler had postponed the invasion plans. Its arrival can support an interpretation that an invasion remained under consideration. It also offered Germany a way to move other personnel elsewhere, so Italian participation does not settle the question of Hitler's intentions.
