Warhammer 40,000's Space Marines raise a question about how a force develops specialists alongside its elite ground troops. Elite ground troops remain dependent on ships, crews, transport, and supply, so a setting must explain who commands and sustains the fleet that delivers them. A force that creates specialized super-soldiers should also produce specialist pilots and fleet commanders able to keep pace with them. A fictional navy may disregard present-day physics, yet its institutions and operations still need to follow the rules established by its setting.

Why space warfare still needs internal logic
Fictional technology need not match modern engineering, but fleets still need coherent command, aviation, and logistics.
