What is the panel's favourite Japanese science-fiction anime?
Short answerChoices include Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Code Geass, Legend of the Galactic Heroes and Space Battleship Yamato, with Girls und Panzer raised as a disputed genre case.
NotesScience fiction can include more than space battles, which makes the question broader than a list of fleet-combat stories. Legend of the Galactic Heroes receives a recommendation for someone wanting a long series. Girls und Panzer is described as sports and alternate-Earth anime, although its extraordinary armour and ships invite a science-fiction reading. These are personal viewing preferences and a disagreement about genre boundaries.
