The Russian triple-turret dreadnought layout

Russia developed a recognizable four-triple-turret arrangement whose simplicity came with restricted forward and after firing arcs.

Notes

Four triple turrets on one level formed a distinct Russian dreadnought pattern. The uniform arrangement may have simplified fire control, but only three guns could fire directly ahead or astern. The same broad layout would have appeared in battlecruiser form on the Borodino class. Its visual coherence therefore came with restricted tactical flexibility.
