Russian supplies and the second revolution

Regular supplies are imagined to sustain Russia's army and possibly forestall its second revolution, with further consequences for eastern Europe and World War II.

Notes

Opening the Straits would, in this counterfactual, allow regular resupply of Russia. Those supplies are expected to help the economy and keep the army operating. The first revolution might still occur, while the second is considered more likely to be prevented. If the second revolution were avoided and the Soviet Union never emerged, the subsequent history of eastern Europe could be very different. The argument extends that uncertainty to the causes of World War II and even whether another world war would occur.
