An account of steel-plant ownership transfers before Nazi expansion

A participant's account links the nationality of industrial ownership to efforts to resist Nazi seizure of steel-making assets.

Notes

One participant attributes the protection of armour and gun-steel assets to ownership transfers within the Rothschild family. In this account, moving ownership to French and British citizens prevented the expanding German state from treating the firms as domestic property available for nationalization. Existing contracts could then remain in force. The participant presents this as a family response to threatened seizure; the firms and individual transfers are not identified in the passage.
