Revenge class and race-winning numbers

The Revenge class contrast turns Queen Elizabeth from an isolated design into part of a Royal Navy force-structure victory.

Notes

The faster Queen Elizabeths are contrasted with the more efficient but slower Revenge class. Queen Elizabeth marks the Royal Navy winning the Anglo-German race, while the Revenge class makes that victory obvious through numbers and replacement pressure. Eight planned Revenges might have pushed early 12-inch dreadnoughts into reserve or allowed transfers to Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, or New Zealand. Individual battleship choices therefore fed into fleet planning, imperial distribution, and deterrence.
