Reserve crews and the pursuit of von Spee

Two closing corrections address the readiness of reserve-mobilized British crews and the Japanese-Australian effort to hunt von Spee across the Pacific.

Notes

Ships activated from reserve were expected to work up rapidly and were treated as part of the fighting fleet, not as inherently second-rate units. Good Hope's crew should not be dismissed as unfit simply because many men were reservists or recent recruits. Japanese and Australian forces were also actively searching for von Spee and repeatedly missed him by narrow margins. Operations against German possessions, including forces left around Tsingtao, helped neutralize the same threat while the pursuit of the East Asia Squadron continued.
