What if the Replicators were sent to fight the Ori?

The survivor would still threaten everyone else and would emerge stronger.

The proposal would leave two dangerous powers to fight one another. The objection is that whoever survived would still be hostile and would emerge more capable. The imagined conflict could therefore leave everyone else facing a stronger enemy.
