Question

What makes the Renown class better than the Admiral-class battlecruisers?

Short answer

Renown is the personal favorite for her balance, while Hood has superior combat power and would win a fight.

Notes

The Renown and Hood comparison separates judgment from preference. Renown remains the personal favorite and is presented as the better-balanced battlecruiser design, while Hood would win a fight through heavier guns, thicker armor, and greater speed. Renown's appearance and balance of qualities make her preferable without making her technically dominant. Firm performance facts set the boundaries of the comparison, while aesthetics and the weighting of design virtues remain personal judgments.
