How Venators could have freed the Rebellion from fixed bases

A surviving Venator could have launched hyperspace-capable Rebel fighters from one system, recovered them in another, and moved on before the Empire found a fixed base.

Notes

Venators would have been exceptionally valuable mobile bases for the Rebel Alliance. X-wings could jump independently from a launch system to their target, then rendezvous with the carrier somewhere else for recovery. The ship could maintain and rearm the fighters while moving again to a third system. This pattern would reduce dependence on fortified planets vulnerable to discovery or attack by the Death Star. The example shows that a carrier remains an operational and logistical hub even when its parasite craft have strategic-range propulsion of their own.
