Should you read the first two books before Raven's Course?

How much will you miss without reading the first two books?

The first two Peacekeepers of Sol books are recommended before Raven's Course. Both are considered worth reading, and the prospect of a fourth volume is welcomed. The possible eventual length of the series remains an expectation based on the author's usual pattern.
