Nominal rates, trial performance, and defensive volume

A comparison of Compact, retrofit, and Super Rapid rates shows how the weapon can generate dense defensive fire against missiles or drone swarms.

Notes

The U.S. Coast Guard calls its Compact installation the Mark 75. The Compact is presented at roughly 80 to 85 rounds per minute, an upgraded version at 100, and Super Rapid at a guaranteed 120. The mount can also use slower burst modes or single shots, allowing the crew to match ammunition expenditure to tasks such as warning fire. Trial examples reportedly reached 139 rounds per minute, though public figures are treated cautiously here. That volume of fire can build a dense projectile barrier against sea-skimming missiles, drones, or another saturation threat.
